Festival of Quilts

Hello
I have just returned fronm the Festival of Quilts at NEC Birmingham. What a Show!! Hundreds of beautiful quilts and as many Stands selling everything from fabric to feathers and all in between.

The CTDG had a stand and it was such a happy place - meeting many members and enrolling new members from all over the world. We talked non-stop for 4 days! The wonderful display boards made by Sarah Brownie stimulated endless discussion with people rushing home to "give it a try"

Do look at out website ctdg.org.uk where we will put up some pictures in the next few days.

  1. Hi Judith,
What you need for the blog is not only images, lots of luchious images (pictures speak louder than words), but also links to the blogs of members (http://nottmdotgroup.blogspot.com/), that is the DOT blog, and my personal blog is www.rarelizzie.wordpress.com. Through the links you will get activity and visits to your blogs, so go and hunt out members with appropriate blogs, or simply find other interesting and relevant blogs. Post comments on their sites, and actively make the links. The more links you have the more visitors you will have.
You could also have snippets and tasters for up coming issues of Design IT, or extra little articles written by the contributor to supplement the article. Blogs are a brilliant way of driving interest in your web site, so I will watch with interest to see how it all develops!

  2. Hi, I am one of the people who came by the CTDG stand at the FOQ and true to my word I have now joined. I am looking forward to developing my limited computer design skills with the help of this group which I know is friendly as I know several members already.

I am totally in agreement with Liz with regard to blog traffic and next time I blog I will include a link to the CTDG website. Good luck with the new blog!

  5. Just found this blog through another site even though I am a member. Thanks for the link, pity it is only for Scotland - could do with something like this for South of the border.
