We're here - where are you?

I recently attended the CTDG workshop in Chester and had a great time. I met likeminded people who wanted to use their computers to design. We listened to the tutors who showed us how to use our software, took our designs from the software to fabric, chatted, compared notes and generally had a productive and fun time. I’m sure that everyone took something positive away with them.

If you want to use your computer to create innovative designs, or have wished you could ask a textile person how to do it or feel you are getting left behind with new technology then why don’t you join the group? There is a website, a blog and facebook group. You can use the forum on the blog to ask questions and there is always someone who can help.

Every quarter there is a magazine which is packed with articles on how to do it, but written from the computer user’s viewpoint and the group also publishes workbooks and booklets for you to learn from. The group has a stand at the NEC and will also be at Ally Pally in October, why not go along and see for yourself? Meeting with people who design like this is a great confidence booster - they’re all so friendly– why don’t you join us?
